It's time! Love it or hate it (and lets face it, you might as well love it) Christmas will be upon us in no time and for The Floral Design Boutique that means only one thing - Wreath Classes! Wooo hoo!
Ok it also means copious amounts of Baileys and After Eights for us too but defo wreath classes first!
This is our 3rd year running of hosting our always sold out Christmas workshops around Glasgow and we're super excited to be delivering more again this year, this time collaborating with some of Glasgow coolest and cosiest venues.
Who can deny that an afternoon or evening of Christmas tunes, hot or alcoholic drinks, festive nibbles and meeting new people all whilst learning a new skill doesn't sound just perfect? Hear what some of our previous attendees have had to say on our Facebook page here.
So, what does Christmas 2018 have in store you ask?
Well, first up we have two afternoon sessions at the iconic Glasgow venue that is the Britannia Panopticon If you haven't had the pleasure already I insist you pop in!
I fell head over heels in love with this venue as soon as I walked down the lane that leads to it.
Did you know it's the worlds oldest surviving music hall, where Stan Laurel made his debut on stage and it's right here in our beautiful city?!
The Panopticon will be hosting their Christmas Fayre on Sunday 25th November from 12-5pm and of course there was no way we weren't going to be involved in that!
We will be having our wreath making classes on the Sunday from 12pm - 2pm and 2:15pm - 4:15pm (click on times for more info and booking details) with the Christmas Fayre ongoing in the background so do feel free to peruse the stalls before or after joining us!
Not only will you be treating yourself and/or your besties to this great afternoon out but, you'll also be making a donation to this wonderful venue helping to save one of the worlds most unique pieces of entertainment and social history!
As part of The Floral Design Boutique's 4th birthday celebrations this year where we always choose a Scottish charity to work with, we will be donating £15 of every ticket sold to the Panopticon. Donations go towards the upkeep of the building ensuring it remains safe and therefore open meaning it can continue to provide all the awesome entertainment that it does and continue to be one of Glasgow's most unique tourist attractions!
Next up... Our next class will be an intimate evening workshop within one of our favourite Glasgow Cafes, Café Wander on Thursday 6th December at 6:30pm.
This café is one of Glasgow's most well established eateries and for good reason, come along to see for yourself!
Think twinkling lights and hot festive drinks and snacks on a winters night in this cosy, city centre basement café. The perfect place to gather after work or after a spot of late night Christmas shopping to make our wreaths and really get yourself into the festive spirit and all the while supporting local small business!
Full details of all of our classes can be found on our Facebook page. The classes generally sell out within the week of launching (which is today - 3rd Sep) so please don't delay in popping your deposit over to secure your place.
